  • Will I have to sign a Model Release Form?
Yes. The form can be downloaded here for your review and printing.
  • What should I wear for my photoshoot with Photomotive Car Photography?
At Photomotive Car Photography, we encourage attire that highlights both the vehicle and the model effectively, creating striking and memorable images. We recommend wearing sexy and somewhat revealing outfits, but without nudity, to achieve this goal. Suggested clothing options include low-cut tops, short skirts, short shorts, or midriff tops, which can add a stylish and dynamic element to your photos. If you prefer something less revealing, tight jeans or shorts paired with a close-fitting top can also work well. Ultimately, choose attire that pushes the limits of your comfort zone while making sure you feel confident and chic. Your comfort and the quality of the photographs are our top priorities, so feel free to select outfits that best express your personal style while enhancing the overall aesthetic of the shoot.
  • Posing
At Photomotive Car Photography, our sessions are designed to be both professional and enjoyable. Models should expect to pose mainly next to the car or inside the car. It's beneficial if models know how to self-pose (or take direction well in the case of less experienced models), as this helps in maintaining focus and achieving the best shots. We value the creativity and input of our models, so your ideas and suggestions are always welcome. Feel free to bring as many outfits as you like to offer a range of looks and styles. Remember, staying focused and being adaptable will ensure a smooth and successful shoot.
  • Will there be any specific requirements for hair and makeup?
    TBD
  • Will I get images for my portfolio?
Yes. When you shoot with Photomotive Car Photography, you will always receive the images from the shoot for your portfolio. We provide medium resolution digital images in an internet-ready format, perfect for online use and easy sharing. If you need higher resolution images or printed photographs, those are also available at discounted rates. This ensures that you have access to the best quality images suited to your needs, whether for digital or print media. Our commitment is to deliver professional, high-quality car photography for all your needs.
  • Will I get paid for modeling with cars?
    Yes
  • How and when do I get paid?
Money will be transferred to the bank account of your choice using Venmo or another digital method you require at the end of the show. You will not be paid in cash.
  • Will I get paid mileage to the event
Normally no. However, for special car functions and venues, mileage payment may be offered.
  • What is the payment structure?
You will be paid a flat fee. There will also be other incentives that will be offered to you when modeling with customer's cars, upselling photo products, etc.
  • Where do the photo shoots take place?
Generally the photo shoots take place outdoors at car shows. The shows take place in the southeast portion of Texas but could also include venues in Houston. The shoot locations may vary from outdoor, quiet surroundings such as parks with a single car, to car shows with 3500 cars and people everywhere. It is very important that you be aware (and comfortable with) that you will not only be the center of attention of the photographer (me), but also by passers-by and gawkers. As a model (or aspiring model), I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of this.
  • How long do the car shows last?
Car shows last from about 10 am until 3:30 pm or later but we will need you earlier to greet early arrivals.
  • Will a make-up artist be provided?
    No.
  • Will there be an area where I can change outfits in private and do makeup and hair?
Yes. Our photo trailer can be used as needed and you will be afforded the privacy you require.
  • What happens if there is bad weather forecasted for my scheduled car photography session?
At Photomotive Car Photography, we understand that car owners invest a lot of pride and effort into maintaining their vehicles. Therefore, we always strive to ensure optimal conditions for your photoshoot. If there is even a hint of rain in the forecast or the skies look threatening, we will closely monitor the weather conditions. In the event of adverse weather, we will contact you as soon as we decide to postpone the shoot. We make every effort to provide you with at least 48 hours notice to reschedule.
  • What safety measures does Photomotive Car Photography take during photoshoots?
At Photomotive Car Photography, your safety is our top priority. We ensure that no photoshoot will put you in harm's way. This means you will never be asked to take shots around moving cars, moving equipment, be at extended heights, or in hazardous areas. We also guarantee that you will not be required to pose with inappropriate individuals. You are welcome to bring someone to chaperone during the shoot, just as long as they don't interfere with the process. Your well-being and comfort are paramount to us while we capture the best images for us and for you.
